All of our consultants are highly-qualified in their area of expertise: Critical Thinking, English Language, Business and Technical Writing, Communicating with Emotional Intelligence and Presentation Skills. They have consulted extensively, presented papers at international conferences, and written training programmes and books on these subjects.
Many of these facilitators are registered assessors and/or moderators, who have experience in designing outcomes-based training programmes and assessment tools (formative and summative) to assess delegates according to the criteria of the unit standards. They are also competent in customising programmes to meet our diverse clients’ needs and in accordance with the relevant unit standards, outlined by SETQAA.

Arlene Ketz: BA (Pysch)- UND; Teachers diploma (Speech and Drama) - UNISA; BA Hons (Applied Linguistics) – UNISA
Arlene founded and managed Mandate Training, a highly successful training consultancy for the past 20 years. She is recognised for her expertise in the field of Plain Language, Critical Thinking, Business Writing, Presentation, Negotiation and Communication Skills. In these fields she has:
- Researched and developed innovative programmes
- Trained executives, employees and trainers
- Compiled Plain Language guidelines for Parliament and other leading organisations
- Edited various documents , including Annual Reports
- Written articles and presented papers at conferences
She consults to several executives and serves on TOPP Graduate forums, where she advises on implementation of professional skills programmes.

Shameem Bhayat-Bhikoo: BA (Human Geography) University of Guelph, Ontario Canada
Shameem is a qualified assessor who was a part-time lecturer in the Dept. of Communication at Wits Tech. As a Consultant for Mandate Training, she has developed material and facilitated business writing and communication workshops.
She is an outstanding facilitator who engages her students through interactive techniques, and consistently receives excellent feedback.

Dr. Judy Caddy:PhD in Organic Chemistry at the University of Johannesburg (Rand Afrikaans University)
Judy joined Mintek in 2003 and began her research career in a secondment to University of Witwatersrand. During this time she undertook a research visit to Heidelberg, Germany, where she investigated the gold labelling of neurologically active pentapeptides. Shortly after her return to South Africa she began heading up the AuTEK Biomedical Programme, along with taking on an honorary position at the University of Witwatersrand. Over the past three years Judy has actively supervised and co-supervised student projects at collaborating universities, along with her research activities at Mintek, where she is now involved in the development of therapies for cancer, HIV and malaria. She assists Mandate Training in developing and conducting Technical Report Writing workshops.

Matumelo Lelosa: BA Education: National University of Lesotho; PDM(HR): Wits
Matumelo has worked in the field of Communication, Emotional intelligence, and Presentation Skills for Mandate Training and has the skills, knowledge and ability to project manage and conduct training at all organisational levels.
In addition, she is a specialist consultant in Diversity Management and Employment Equity, and assists organisations in designing and implementing strategies in these fields.

Isabella Strong: BA (English/Psych); Teachers Higher Diploma; B Tech in Ed/Training
Isabella is a senior consultant for Mandate Training in Business Communication and Emotional Intelligence. She has lectured at an honours level and has had many years of experience in the government and corporate sectors.
In addition to her work in the banking sector, she has trained senior and middle management at SARS, Eskom, FIC and the National Treasury to write professional Technical and Business Reports and to communicate and present powerfully.

Elaine is an experienced facilitator who is responsible for Business Writing and English Language Training and customising course material for Mandate Training.
As a qualified assessor with the Services SETA, Elaine is able to evaluate and accredit learners in addition to conducting training in language and communication in the corporate and government sectors. |

Caryn Katz is an award-winning actress, teacher, voice-over artist and has a successful career in the world of corporate theatre and training – stemming from her interest in the dynamic connection between business and art. Caryn's relationship with Corporate Theatre and Training began in 2003 and she has worked as a facilitator on some major contracts including Avis, Transnet and National Treasury. She works regularly on various other disciplines (professional acting work, motivational speaking) and uses these experiences to inform her work as a facilitator.

Liora Meltzer: Bcomm (Human Resources & Marketing) - Wits
Liora has worked in the financial services industry for 4 years, where she managed the on-the-floor training and development programme for new starters, identifying gaps in product knowledge and addressing these through providing ad-hoc training programmes. During this time, Liora was also involved in overseeing various projects aimed at improving workflow processes and systems. Liora is able to use her extensive knowledge in the banking arena, to consult and train for Mandate, particularly within the financial services sector.

Robyn has worked as an HR Consultant for the last 16 years. Her experience includes a wide range of sectors: government, corporate, as well as non-governmental organisations, working successfully with all levels of management and employees. She works extensively in the area of Personal Development and Growth. This includes modules such as communication, assertiveness, conflict management, emotional intelligence and presentation skills.

John has been practising in the training environment for the past 10 years during which time he has held positions of Training Officer, Facilitator and Business Development Consultant. He has consults to SMME's, Parastatals, Government Organisations and blue chip companies in a variety of fields such as: Customer Service, Conflict Management, Time Management, Negotiation Skills, Call Centre training. John’s passion is in facilitating learning programmes and being a part of Skills Development in South Africa.
